But if it should be something special, trust "Michelin" and the restaurant of "Pierre Gagnaire" where you will celebrate French food together with the 3 Michelin stars. It’s very expensive there, but for sure a unforgettable experience, which is worth it.

There you will get quickly an impression of that pretty city. After that you can also decide, what to see.
One of my favorite sights is the Saint Chapel, which is a little church near to Louvre and Palais de Justice. 
The next sight I would commend is Louvre itself. But you have to plan more than a few days to see everything. My advice would be, to be prepared for the visit.
You can also visit the the Eiffel Tower. From there you will have a beautiful view over the roofs of Paris. 
If you like it a bit more exclusive you could visit "Opéra Garnier". It‘s one of the most famous and most important operas in whole Europe.
Also very exclusive is "Rue du Fausbourg Saint- Honore. (Where to shop?)

Here you find the flagshipstore of Hermes and Lanvin but also "No1- Coco Chanel“. The Maison Chanel has not only it’s flagshipstore there, it’s also a museum for the brand.
If you want a bit more visit "Galeries Lafayette Paris“. There you find the finest foods and the finest products under one roof. It’s really worth it to visit the original Lafayette.

Coco Chanel was one of them. She lived the most time of here life in Paris especially in the "Ritz" where she also died in 1971. She is might be the most famous woman of Paris.
Yves Saint Laurent died also in Paris, where he founded his Maison and where he spent most of his time. 2008 was the year in which the couturier died.
In 2020 another famous couturier died. His name is Kenzo Takada. His dead was a result of COVID-19.
He lived the most time of his life in Paris and died also there.
All these people loved Paris and also died there. Paris; loving and dying.

Later in the middle age it was the town of the French monarchs. That changed and Paris was just the city of people. An important historical event is the French Revolution, which started with the attack of the Bastille in 1789.
The Revolution was successful.
In the WWs Paris was an important tactical point.
