That's a very great question, In my opinion it's not really fair to judge people by their clothes. I saw that many people be polite with people who wear expensive clothes. Mostly in clothes shops. Not everyone can effort expensive clothes that's why I don't think it's right

a diploma is definitely needed, but having experience is more important than that, because if you have experience, it is not a problem to study later. even a person without experience can do it slowly

Everybody has own wear style. For instance many occupations have their different wear style. As their dresses shows their occupation who has own that. On the other hand I think the wear style apart from their ages.

I believe that getting some working experience is more important than having qualifications. Because when you work in this field you can learn more thing than you learned from before getting qualification. By seeing how other people coping with difficulties you can learn how to manage with such kind of problems
