Teachers would only favour students who were smart and academically gifted, and did not cater for the needs of students on how they can achieve their goals better. There was also a very limited parent-teacher interaction. I want to become a teacher who does not want my students to be harassed for not memorising their times tables, or scoring less than 50% in an exam. This has increased my understanding of the world which I bring into my classroom.
    - My parents loved to play music at dinner time (we always had to eat at the table) the music they would play was often from the 1950's- 1970's, including big band music.
