George Eastman Kodak, a 24 year old, decided to set up his Eastman Dry Plate Company, in New York 1880. In 1888, George designed, and created, the first Kodak camera, which costed $25.00 (a lot of money at the time) which had a 20ft long roll of paper (roughly 100 pictures) already put inside of it. After using the camera, if you wanted your photos, you had to go back to Eastman Dry Plate Company and get your photos developed, and paper put back into the camera, for $10.00, and then they would mail the results back to you.
