The stimulus itself was odd and allowed the imagination to run wild. This goes for lyrically and also throught the way the instruments played. The feelings for the idea were mixed. Some suggested it reminded them of a genre of show originally from a specific area hence the rap. Then others also said it reminded them of psychedelic thoughts and hyperness due to the colours. Ine more suggestion was an impact if drugs on the mind inflicting hallucinations.

Throughout the process the way to incorporate all ideas was discussed and in some way or another involved. The original idea for being hyper and excited we tried to use double time and half time on the drums. This was to show how the attitude of a person can go up and down. As the stimulus also went from one scene to another abruptly and without warning this was also a good way to incorporate the emotion of hyperness/happieness.

For the performance

During the performance we decided to change the drum beat to fit more of the style .(as shown below) In the process of changing the drum we decided to incorporate the octave gap on the electric which also created an effect with the way the stimulus made the feeling jump around as the guitar did with the gap. By doing this it allowed all of the ideas to be incorporated and therefore giving a very influenced song from us all. The other thing we decided to use was a last minute change if the way the snare was used. it was originally as shown in the voice clip but then was changed to swing type of use with double hit instead of the singular ones which created the sense of swing into the mix as some types of swing can be laid back but suddenly sper up at any point.

Feedback As Well As Strengths And Weaknesses

The performance when shown to our peers and tutor was not complete and therefore I do think personally if developed further the song could be better than it was during the performance.

The feedback given from was helpful for if we wanted to develop this further. The areas that were enjoyed were the way "the octave gap made it sound as there were more than two instruments." This being noticed was good as it allowed us to realize the sound we were going for really worked well. It was also said that with the chord progression worked well due to letting the solo of the electric guitar at the end to sound right otherwise it would have sounded odd and would not have been relevant to fit the stimulus the way we wanted it to.

However we also had areas for improvement such as vocals. This was understandable and this was because this was the first time using the room and therefore we were unsure of how to evenly spread the sound in the room without certain instruments being too loud or too quiet. This however was an incentive to be able to work on the levels from experience.

The way this song could be used in the future, if it were to be developed, would depend really. That depends on the mood the listener is in and the way they would interrupt the song. Really it is the same principle for all songs but this in particular. It is hard to interpret this type of song.

The way the song was used in this occasion fit the stimulus and the way it built up to the solo was nice and for that I believe it may not be everyone's cup of tea and once again that is the same with a lot of genres of music.
