         <description><![CDATA[<div><sup>Hoping to stop the USSR and the spread of communism by gaining favor with nations recovering from the effects of WWII, the U.S. instituted the Marshall Plan (1948), and later the Eisenhower Doctrine (1957). Both aimed to provide aid to align with postwar ideals.&nbsp;<br></sup><br></div><div><sup>Mutual Assured Destruction (the idea that the U.S. and USSR engaging in a nuclear war would be the death of everyone) was the nation's official and only national security policy that was designed to effectively stop nuclear war.<br></sup><br></div><div><sup>the Cold War initiated a global arms race that called for increased intelligence gathering, spying, and international alliances. The latest infrastructure bill provides States with funding in order to be able to pay for construction and maintenance of bridges and roads.  States decide how taxes and told with be portioned to paying for and construction or maintenance that is necessary.</div>]]></description>

         <title>	There were lack of 🤬 and vaccines and were on back order. There is and was lots of misinformation that people spread in the press and in media. As we know hospitals were backed up and many long terms care facilities suffered.Lots of controversy of what role government should have. There was a shortage of supplies for medical workers to properly help the infected. </title>

Homeland Security was enacted in light of the 9/11 terrorist attacks but is applicable in any manner of terrorism in the US. the authority to investigate involves cyber security, border security, and additional ways of minimizing damage and reducing vulnerability.<br><br>Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals - DACA (2012) - the immigration policy allows protection from deportation, which individuals must meet specific program requirements to prevent or defer deportation. this is for individuals who arrived in the US since June 15, 2007, and were minors at this point &nbsp;<br><br>Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors - DREAM Act - on March 16, 2021, this act permanently protects immigrants from deportation from the US. the act grants lawful permanent residency with the requirement of work, education, and military service &nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
