Such a world would be strongly disliked by conservatives who – by temperament and instinct – prize social order and harmony above all else. Conservatives also believe that authority enables us to lead a more fulfilling and purposeful life. The public have often been prepared to surrender a little freedom in order to enjoy security, which may also explain the existence of the social contract (i.e. the agreement – formal or informal – of members of society to cooperate for the benefit of wider society, usually by sacrificing some personal or individual freedoms in return for state protection).

Conservatives believe that without authority, society would fall into anarchy. Conservatives endorses authority because it will lead to a more fulfilling life. For conservatives, authority and social hierarchy is very important, a child cannot argue against their parents and the citizen cannot argue against the government. Conservatives strongly defends traditional authority, which is authority that is in the culture already and passed on to the next generations like the army and the monarchy. Conservatives do not want to see a collapse in society that is why they greatly value authority.



Conservative movements are growing in strength all around the world. People, both old and new, are increasingly backing the ascent to power of right-wing leaders. 
Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil's next far-right leader, has risen to power quickly. This may come as a surprise to some. It wasn't, however, anything that no one had anticipated. His achievement was based on the years of support he received from significant social movements. 
Many other countries, like Poland, Thailand, and India, have adopted the same movement.
