My name is Melike. Fifteen years ago, I was born in Istanbul, Turkey and I still live  in here.  
I'm studying at Cihangir Schools now and me and my friends have been participating in projects since last year. We did a project called 'Health and Traditional European Recipes' last year and it was so enjoyable. So, I am here.  
I want to talk about my home town, Istanbul.  
Istanbul is the most crowded city in my country, Turkey. About 15 million people live in Istanbul.  
Istanbul is famous for its historical places with many cultures like mosques, streets, towers, bridges etcetera. For me, the most eye-catching places are the mosques. Here is the photo of a mosque called 'The Hagia Sophia Mosque';

I wanna talk about spoonmaker's diamond. The Spoonmaker's Diamond also known as 'Kaşıkçı Elması' in the Turkish language is is the renowned diamond of the Topkapı Palace Museum associated with the former Sultans of the Ottoman Empire. The stone gets it's name from the tradition that the diamond was acquired by a spoon- maker in exchange for three spoons from a poor fisherman, or that the person who first found the diamond was a spoon-maker. Another possible source for the name is that the diamond resembled the shape of a spoon. Bosphorus is a natural strait connecting the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara, thus being a very strategic waterway. There are three suspension bridges on the Bosphorus connecting Europe to Asia. The first one is known as "Bosphorus Bridge", the second one is known as "Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge" (or FSM Bridge shortly), the third one is known as "Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge" (or YSS Bridge shortly)
