Describe Event (2 sentences):

On August 1st 1914 Germany invaded Belgium to access France. Germany broke the neutrality between Germany and Belgium. This was the first move by a country to start ww1.

Explain how event affected people and societies in Europe (2 sentences):

This event affected the society because of how strong Germany was getting and how they went into Belgium and started executions, massacrs, and big battles. This made all of the countries have to keep a eye on Germany which will make them weak for other attacks. This also affected people of other countries because Germany didn't care about civilians so they were scared of being killed, getting their house taken over or destroyed in battle.

Describe Event (2 sentences):

On July 1st a huge battle of ww1 started the British and French vs the German empire. This took place along the Somme River which is in Northern France. This was the first big war of ww1 and is considered the most bloodiest battle in history.

Explain how event affected people and societies in Europe (2 sentences):
It affected countries because the Battle of Somme had many casualties between Britain, French, and German army's. The battle caused a lot of trauma and was the most bloodiest war of ww1. It made all the countries realize that this can happen again and it grew war weariness.

Describe Event (2 sentences):

On April 6th 1917 the United States joined ww1. They Joined because Germany kept reopening submarine attacks. They also got hold of the Zimmerman Telegram which was a code that told Mexico to attack the United States. The People of the United States also wanted to join the war so they can become stronger and have more power.

Explain how event affected people and societies in Europe (2 sentences):
This event affected the people of the United States because they were a country that were late to join the war so that means that they needed to get on the program and become on the same level as the countries that have been in the war. This also affected the societies of Europe because it was another country being involved in the war so the people who have an alliance with the United States are good because they have another country on their side but the countries that don't have an alliance with United States have to worry about another country and how they might attack them.

Describe Event (2 sentences):

On March 3rd 1918 Russia surrenders. They Surrendered because it was in the interest of the new Communist leaders of Russia who took power in 1917. Russia wanted to focus on the civil war and not ww1. They were weak and wanted to be strong and powerful and that was what led to the Russian revolution.

Explain how event affected people and societies in Europe (2 sentences):
This affected the people of Russia because them leaving is allowing Russia to focus on the civil war and the revolution instead of the war world and that will make Russia better for the future and stronger and when they are strong again they can join the war. This also affected the societies in Europe because without Russia the countries don't have to worry about them anymore and can focus more on other countries but for the countries that have an alliance with Russia they will be losing an ally.

The treaty was signed by Germany and the Allied Nations. This ended ww1 and brought peace. Germany was forced to pay reparation, lose land, lose all overseas colonies, shrink military size.

Explain how event affected people and societies in Europe (2 sentences):
This affected the people because the people don't have to worry about food anymore, losing their house in war, and the death of a family member or death of themselves. This also affected the societies in Europe because the countries that got land taken from Germany will be given back and the countries that had a lot of damage to their land will have it paid for by Germany but for Germany its bad because They had to pay a lot of money, shrink their military, and lose all of their overseas colonies.
