Victor, because if he wasn't messing around and trying to make a monster in the first place, nothing would have happened. Also, after making the monster, he suddenly got scared of it for some reason despite building it every day for a very long time, which in itself is kind of weird, but he decided to run away and neglect the monster instead of trying to make him into something good.

I think he's a tragic hero, and ultimately he's a really down to earth gray area character. He feels really human and the mistakes he makes feel like some I could make in my own life.

Victor's pursuit of knowledge started from curiosity but quickly turned reckless and selfish. He started with intentions of discovering something new for the benefit of humanity, but then went down a spiral of making dumb selfish decisions that killed his family and friends.

Victor was reckless and selfish. He made the monster just to say "Oh wow look at me I made new species", but never once did the monsters feeling or needs come into his consideration. He slapped together this thing without thought or sense, and without thinking about the effect the monster being created would have.

Victor is totally at fault. He created the monster, which is already a horrible idea. He left the monster by himself (which led to the monster adapting to the world and seeking vengeance. Victor did not take any responsibility for the creation of his monster; he did not confess until the end, he regretted it though. Even after all of this, he could have proven that the monster could be created and by using common sense (the sequence in which Victor ´ s beloved people died), they could have figured it out. All of their deaths are because of his stubbornness.

I think Victor needs some meds or therapy because you've got to be some sort of mentally ill/crazy to go around digging corpses and spending all your time with dead body parts. even though he's definitely mentally ill I think he's a good man at his core, like he had good intentions he just went about them in weird ways and made bad choices

I think he's reckless and selfish because he made the monster then he abandoned it which was very reckless and selfish because he wasn't thinking about what would happen to the monster and was only thinking about himself.
