Growing up I could always go to my parents but I normally always knew what they would say. My Aunt and Grandpa would go through all my choices and we would go through the pros and cons together. We build each other up and are there when needed. I would invite them to my table because they know the situation more than anyone. They’re student athletes in the same sport as me. If I need advice on how to stop missing home, how to get better at something, or when we should work out they always have an answer. They definitely all have the traits of virtue, vocation, and authenticity! I’ve always wanted to see different parts of the world and explore new places. I’ve been in love with the sport since I was 5. This year I all-americaned and took 4th at nationals. After I graduate, I don’t just want to be done and put it in the past. Family is a big thing for me. We don’t get along all the time, but they’re always there when I need them. I’ve been at college 17 hours away from my home for 3 years. They could influence me to stay home, but most of them would want me to live my dreams.
