Kari Rhodes is one of the biggest inspirations that I have at work. She works for Discovery Point in Hickory Flat. Her phone number is 770/378/1740.

Kari graduated from Oglethorpe University with a Bacholars in early childhood education. She was hired as a special education assistant at the school that she student taught at. She also taught as a Title one resource teacher in reading. She got hired as a first grade teacher in Atlantic City, but shortly moved to teach fourth grade in paudling county. Now, currently teaching Georgia Pre-k in Cherokee county, going into my 20th year of teaching. My current job responsibilities are planning and implenting a developmentally appropriate curriculum, assesment of student progress based on the standards required by the state, parent communication and social media presence for our class and team, providing a nurturing and safe enviroment to foster care students development and growth.

Kari loved being able to foster an early love of learning and being able to see so much growth and development of my students. She wanted to be able to be an effective teacher as well as be able to be an involved mother and wife. Teaching allows her to work a similar schedule with her own children, her students and her work.

Kari stated that some of the most important characteristics to childcare would be Patience, Empathy, KIndness, Compassion, and a sense of humor. Children need to know that they are loved and cared for no matter what. They need to know that we all make mistakes and we all learn from them. We can teach and model those behaviors by having a sense of humor, as they can learn to laughat their misteps in life. In this day and age children need to learn these characteristics to help them cope with day to day stresses they face.

Teachers always collaborate and share ideas! This is how we can make sure all olur students recieve our reshest and best ideas, when we share our best, our students receive the best.Especially in early childcare education ethics are important! Treat every student how you would want your own child to be treated. Love your students and give them the best.

We need to ensure our student's mental health and well being is being cared for. We see children suffering from more and more mential health issues every year. We have to help them maneuver through big feelings and social stresses so we can reach those in need. We are loosing too many children to mental health, depression and suicide. Early Intervention is key.

Seeing their growth and confidence blossom over the course of a year. Student behavior, mental health struggles that need to be addressed and parent support

Be patient and kind to yourself! Wake up each day set to be the teacher your students need. Show them the love they seek, show them its okay to make mistakes and how to learn and grow from them. show them that you care and do your best for them.

My goal as an early childhood educator is to become a good influence towards my students. They live a life I know nothing about, so if I get to be the sunshine for them an make mak their day brighter then I want too. I want to teach children that it's okay to be themselves, and to live the life they want. I love seeing the look on their faces when they accomplish something for the first time. i have worked with my interviewee for three years now, and each year I learned something new from her. She taught me that there different ways to teach different students, because not all children are on the same level of learning. Kari has taught me to be the best verizon of myself so the children have the best oppurtunity to learning.

Mrs. Kari stated that you have to have lots of patience in this field. Kari explained that creativity takes you a long way in this field, because it shapes the minds of the little ones and makes them think in a different way than the rest of the students. There are a few things that Mrs. Kari didn't mention, and one of those include having a daily routine/schedule. Daily routines/schedules are essential because it keeps the children focused, if you didn't have a daily routine, there would be chaos in the classroom. Another disposition that is really essential is having adult-child relationships and family engagement. It's really important to make sure that you and the parents have a good understanding as to whats best for the childs education.

I have had a love for this field since I was in elementary school. It always warmed my heart to see the smile on the kids faces when they accomplish something for the first time. Being the lead teacher in the two year old classrom I make sure that I am the best verizon of myself while teaching, making sure that I stay on schedule, and reaching all the childrens needs.

Example: Our center time is from 9:40 to 10:15, so at 10:10 my alarm goes off and the children know to start cleaning up, once they clean up then they sit at their tables and wait for my instructions on their art activity.

The thing that Im going to have a hard time with is giving the best to my students, meaning teaching them in a way that they understand the lesson for the week. Im going to to have a hard time teaching ESOL students the most because I have never had that experience before. im going to overcome this challenge by researching different ways to improve my teaching abilities especially with my ESOL children to make learning fun for them.

Mrs. Kari discussed teamwork similar to whats explained in our textbook. She explained that teachers always need to share and collabrote their ideas with one another. This is how teachers make sure that ALL of their students recieve the freshest and best ideas.

Being a kindergarten teacher interests me the most, I have always had a passion for teaching , but I really got a great understanding when I was mentoring a kindergarten class for my senior project. I loved mentoring that age group, and got alot of experience under my feet, learning new things from the kindergarten teacher.

The code of ethics helps the early childgood educators by helping the teachers use their morals to become the best teacher they can be . Philosophy has taught us over time how to deal with different situations. Being culturally inclined is essential because it helps to make teaching easier for the ESOL students.

I have had a passion for teaching early childhood education since I was five years old. When I was in elementary school I hung out with the special needs children. When I went to middle school my friends and I volunteered in to be apart of the special olympics and the special needs dance. Once I got into high school I volunteered to help out the special needs children in the coffee shop. It makes my heart happy when I can make their day brighter! Students as well as special needs students have a hard time with some situations in life and for me to be the person to make them smile, it makes me feel warm inside.

The biggest fear that I have is not teaching them well enough for the future. I'm concerned that once I get my degree and become a kindergarten teacher my way of teaching isn't going to have an impact on the children, nor be clear enough for the students to undertstand.
