Relative pronouns can perform two types of function in one sentence: (1) subject or (2) object. When subject, there will be a noun before the pronoun. In turn, when it appears after a verb, with or without a preposition, then we are talking about a relative pronoun with an object function. Now, let's see what are the relative pronouns of English.

Subject function:
- For people: who

The book "Cão Como Nós" is by Manuel Alegre, published in 2002 for the edition Planeta de Agostini, S.A., Lisbon.
This story has as main characters, the author and the dog, kurika. It is a dog with special characteristics, which is seen as a unique being. The author tries to show how close he is to us, through his intelligence as well as through his ignorance of the house rules. Kurika, was a dog who did not want to be a dog, but a member of the family, he was very close to msma, even though he sometimes did not want to have rules or be ordered, he liked to follow his own instincts, even so he was always present in all the moments the family went through, sharing their sadness and emotions with them.
Kuika had her passions every summer and wept at night with sadness. One day when the family went to the beach, the dog got lost and no one found him, later the GNR found him on the barking road, he seemed disoriented. Kurika was back home, but different and sad, she seemed to have lost the joy of living. later he had an attack and they took him to a clinic, but the doctors thought he was going to die, the family cried with this news, but even weak Kurika held on and was taken home, where he later died, showing that he wanted to die in your corner. Everyone suffered because they had it in their hear.
I recommend this book, because we can learn a lesson from it, learn to value our affective side, recognize the importance of fidelity for us and for our principles. the respect that we should have for everything we love and for everything around us. also to know the importance of freedom and the respect that we must have for it, so that it never leads us to lose our home.
