Topic: COLORS AND OBJECTS

Objective: Identify and describe common objects using basic English color vocabulary.

Student’s level: (MCRE) Begginer (A1)  

Target skill: vocabulary, listening comprehension, visual comprehension, speaking, pronunciation, cognitive skills, fine motor skills.

Student’s age: : 6-9 years

Target gramar: Question Structures: What color is [object]? Response structure: The [object] is [color]

Target vocabulary:

Colors: red, blue, yellow, green, black, white, orange, pink, purple, brown Objects: book, ball, car, chair, pen, bag,  apple, shirt, cup, table

Warm-up activity:

It begins with a short video or song in English about colors and some objects in English. Students will be asked to name the colors they recognize.

Main activities

 -Didactic cards with objects and colors are shown. Students are asked to repeat the names of the objects and their colors. - Sorting colors: Objects are sorted according to their color in English.

Practice or Assessment

Methods or tasks used to practice and evaluate student learning during or at the end of the lesson

- An activity is done in pairs and each pair receives a set of colored objects, they ask each other what color the object is, and the partner gives the answer.

 -Students take turns describing objects in the classroom.

Closure          

They are given a photocopy to color, considering the colors indicated.

Homework/Follow-up Activity
Students will draw and color 5 objects at home and label each object with its color in English and present it in the next class.
