Oil and natural gasses are natural chemicals. They are made out of hydrogen and carbon. It is used mostly for fuel. Oil is a very nonrenewable resource, we have enough oil to use for about 60-90 years! Hopefully we find a more affordable alternative.

How does it generate electricity?

We got two ways to generate electricity. It can use a conventional system, which is when oil is burned to heat water into steam to make electricity. Next way is by a combustion turbine. It works by oil being burned under pressure to produce hot gasses to power a spinning turbine to generate electricity. Using too much can produce lots of nitrogen oxide. Burning it can pollute air, water, land. The worst of it is drilling, transporting, and refining

Oil and natural gasses can be found in Texas, Alaska, North Dakota, Montana, Federal Gulf of Mexico, and also California. In other countries though, that is a different story. In other countries, oil can be found in Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iran, and China.
