My username and background icon refer to my musical alias Novena, which is as close to me as my given name.  I am a vocal/general music teacher at an elementary school in the Ferguson-Florissant School District in Saint Louis County, MO. I currently use technology in a very visual sense in my classroom by showing videos of songs and drawing images of musical concepts and notations on my smartboard.
