The reasoning behind this is that the book can teach kids the wrong theme. For example that "all lower class women lie about being rapped." This we know isn't true but the book can give the idea that it is. Another example being the book gives the idea that an African American boy in Mississippi present day wouldn't be given a fair trial. I disagree with this because " To Kill A Mockingbird" is a great book with great morals. I agree that for a younger age you may need a skilled teacher to give you the right idea about the book.
