Equity is to treat people differently in order for everyone to reach the same level of comfort and quality of life. In order for the world to truly prosper and develop, we need to achieve equality, which is done through equity, before we can provide and produce enough for all the people on the planet. It allows for the creation of a level of comfort nearing a utopia level and is absolutely necessary in order to continue to create and grow, so we're not limited to just one dying planet, worldwide equality would solve almost all of the world's current problems. If we were able to achieve equality and unity it make be much easier to solve the world problems (like the ones discussed in teaspoons of change) because every single person on earth would be working towards the same goal. No, not exactly. Just a group untied or unifies people into one belief, does not mean it is a positive influence or in any way positive. Most of the time, in fact, especially with government, a unified group falls into corruption or otherwise. For example, the 2 party system in the US was actually discouraged by George Washington because he new it would split the country into 2 separate political beliefs which creates useless competition between people. Of course, it can also be positive such as UNICEF and other organizations that help the people living in poverty. But these selfless charities are rare, and most people that unite and have publicity are the negative effects, take the example of the KKK, Nazi Party, Communist China and so forth. In fact, basically the entire notion and conjecture of a perfect government doesn't exist because people unite into factions, people can't accept anyone else than people like themselves. Which leads us to question patriotism. What is patriotism? It's a skewed view that your country and it's people are the best because you and your country and your friends just have to be the best at everything. Just because the words "Action" and "Involvement" are mentioned, it doesn't mean that everything s positive. And in relation to the United Nations goals such as no poverty, zero hunger and so forth, factions are a tremendous hurdle and obstacle for the worlds projected goals. And of course if we continue with these factions, we cannot achieve these goals with reasoning and diplomacy, it will turn into a war for food and water and more. Essentially, because most people can't go out of their comfort zone and meet new people, accept that you might not be the best, or creating factions and having "rivals", this is all caused by hate, disgust, beliefs and other things of that nature.
