The Great Pyramid of Giza is, in addition to being the largest of the Egyptian pyramids, the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one still standing. It was ordered to be built by Pharaoh Khufu of the Fourth Dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Regarding the architect of this work, some scholars name Hemiunu, but this is not proven.

The estimated completion date of the Great Pyramid is around 2600 BC, making it the first and largest of the three great pyramids in the Giza necropolis, located on the outskirts of Cairo. It was the tallest building on Earth for 3,800 years, until it was surpassed in the 14th century by the spire of Lincoln Cathedral in England, and the tallest stone building in the world until well into the 19th century, when it was surpassed by the spire of St. Nicholas Church in Hamburg.

The Roman Colosseum is an amphitheater built during the Roman Empire between 70 and 80 AD by order of Titus Flavius Vespasian. For this reason, it was known at the time as the Flavian Amphitheater.

The Colosseum is located in the city of Rome, Italy, to the east of the Roman Forum. It stands on flat ground, a construction innovation for this type of building.

The Acropolis of Athens can be considered the most representative of the Greek acropolises. The acropolis was the citadel, literally the upper city, and was present in most Greek cities with a dual function: defensive and as the site of the main places of worship. The Acropolis of Athens is located on a peak that rises 156 meters above sea level.

The entrance to the Acropolis is through the enclosing wall through a large gate called the Propylaea, on the right side of which is the temple of Athena Nike (Victorious). Beyond the Propylaea, a large bronze statue of Athena, made by Phidias, could be seen in a central position, but unfortunately lost today. To the right (from the Propylaea) is the Parthenon, or temple of Athena Parthenos (the Virgin). On the left is the Erechtheion, with its famous stoa (στοά) or tribune supported by six caryatids. On the southern slope of the acropolis, outside the walls and below, are the remains of other buildings, including the open-air Theatre of Dionysus, where Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, and Aristophanes premiered their plays.

The city was founded in 1350 by King U-Thong, who made it the capital of his kingdom, often referred to as the Kingdom of Ayutthaya or Siam. In 1767, the city was destroyed by the Burmese army during the Burmese-Siamese War, during which most of the royal family and 90,000 people were kidnapped. The ruins of the old city now form the Ayutthaya Historical Park. The new city was founded just a few kilometers east of Ayutthaya, about 80 km north of Bangkok. The capital was moved to Thon Buri.

By the 17th century, it had become an important international port with a bustling trade. Trade included teak, sandalwood, sugar, leather, ivory, fur, silk, and local handicrafts, as well as goods imported from Japan and China.

Tikal (meaning "place of voices") is one of the largest archaeological sites and urban centers of the Mayan civilization. It is located in the municipality of Flores, in the department of Petén, in what is now the Republic of Guatemala, and is part of Tikal National Park, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. According to glyphs found at the site, its Mayan name would have been Yax Mutul.

Tikal was the capital of a warring state, which became one of the most powerful kingdoms of the ancient Maya. Although the site's monumental architecture dates back to the 4th century BC, Tikal reached its peak during the Classic Period, between 200 and 900 AD. During this time, the city dominated much of the Mayan region politically, economically, and militarily. maintained links with other regions throughout Mesoamerica, including Teotihuacán in the distant Valley of Mexico.
