Everytime I see a little girl, it brings me back to the one from my memory—the blond girl with the blue dress trimmed with white lace. I’m not sure why that is. Maybe when you only remember one thing, it sticks with you. If only I could remember where I remember her from. I think Gordon Kerman included these two paragraphs because he wanted to help the reader infer that Chase seems a little stressed out from having only one memory.
