         <description><![CDATA[<div>-In 2017, the juvenile recidivism rate in Indiana was 32.2%.<br>-There were 702 releases and 226 returns (137 as juveniles and 89 as adults)<br>-Of all juveniles that were released in 2013 35.6% of males returned and 23.4% of females returned.<br>-As of January 2019, there are 819 kids who are incarcerated in Indiana. 13 of them have committed murder, not including manslaughter. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-In 1998 the 14 year old was playing baseball at home and allegedly accidentally struck 8 year old Maddie Clifton in the eye.<br>-He feared his fathers reaction so he strangled her with a phone cord and stabbed her 11 times.<br>-Hid the body under his bed. His mother found it a week later.<br>-The motivation seemed to come from fear of his abusive fathers reaction.<br>-Philips had no history of violence but was tried as an adult.<br>-He was charged guilty of first degree murder, sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.</div>]]></description>
