They both worship God and use sacraments like baptism, but they have differences. The emperors had total power for Greek Orthodox Christians and for Roman Catholics, the Pope had the power.</p>]]></description>

The Franks met them with force and there was much fighting; this battle ultimately stopped the spread of Islam into France. Baghdad fell because of a series of previous floods that weakened the defense, the faith, and the confidence of the Abbasids.</p>]]></description>
