         <description><![CDATA[<div>Theory - showed that cathode rays were negatively charged.<br><br>PPM - Plum Pudding Model, atoms are made of pieces with positive and negative charge, and that the negatively charged electrons within the atom were very small compared to the entire atom.<br><br>Downfall: scientists found out that the positively charged alpha particles were being repelled and deflected by a tiny concentration of positive charge in the atom, replaced his model with the nuclear atom model.</div>]]></description>
