They are commonly found roaming the wilderness in their tribes and very rarely encountered in villages and cities. Elven tribes tend to keep to themselves and usually resort to intimidation to keep others out of their territory. Elves are easily identifiable by their skin tone, ears and eye color. Their skin ranges from pale blues and purples to vibrant ambers and browns and a variety of colors can be found within a single tribe. Their eyes, both the iris and sclera, are vibrantly shaded with any imaginable color. If their skin and eyes don’t give them away, their ears ought to. Their ears are long and pointed looking more like a goblins ears than a humans.

While the most common human groups in Arda are the Hellenic and Volsung peoples, you can also find the Samara and Nihonni that migrate across the seas to trade or settle. They share many similarities with Elves in being a tribal and nomadic people. But where they diverge is in their stance to outsiders. Unlike the elves who are wary to outsiders, orcs are downright murderous. Orcs defend their territory viciously and will often attack anyone who enters it be it man, woman, or child. Few traders have made headway in to opening up trade and often paying with blood and toil. At the begging of the third century many orc tribes migrated up in to Arda and can be found all throughout its lands. Orcs are stout creatures that can range from 5' to 7' tall. Their skin usually is a grey or green hue. Orcs tend to live shorter lives than the other races with the oldest barely older than 100.

Nihonni can be identified by their slight stature--the tallest recorded height coming to 5' 11". Their facial features are soft and the men rarely grow facial hair.

Hellens tend to have darker hair colors and olive skin tones. Their size is the most diverse among humans with some almost as short as dwarves and others that rival the Volsung.
