i think that the lock is the most important invention made by Egyptians because it helps people hide from invaders or other Egyptians. They could also use it to lock their animals in the place they want them. Also they use it for their houses because houses aren't usually for everyone in the village or area to go in. Sooo I think that this is a very very helpful tool for most Egyptians back then and I also think it was a smart invention on their part.

Mummification is the most interesting achievement of ancient Egypt because of the long, rigorous process it is. During the process the body would first be laid on its back and have a metal hook shoved up its nose to turn their brain into mush. Then, it would be scooped out with said hook. Next, they would make a cut on the side of the dead pharaoh's body and take out the lungs, stomach, liver and intestines and stuff them in jars with the heads of gods. But interestingly, they would leave the heart in as it was believed to be needed in the afterlife. After that, they would leave the body out in the sun for 40 days to dry out. Then, they would stuff the body with linen or straw to keep its shape. But most times the body would be misshapen. Finally they would wrap the body very carefully even wrapping each finger and toe and they would but the body in a wooden or stone sarcophagus.

They also sometimes would come with tax to make sure people paid their tax and they brought important things to the government officials. Another job for the police was to stop any criminals or thieves. Police are important because if you didn't have them people could steal or take things, people can harm one another, and important things could not get to the government officials.

They would also use paper like we do they would use it for writing. They would write down all their ideas and some inventions . Papyrus is important because it is a writing surface that they can use for all sorts of things. This is why I think that papyrus sheets are an important invention that the ancient Egyptians made.

Secondly, only a few Egyptians could read/ write in Hieroglyphics. These people were called scribes. Third They are still trying to figure out the meaning of Hieroglyphics to this day. Hieroglyphics are important because it is one of the oldest languages known and we could learn so much more if we can find out what these symbols mean.

Hieroglyphs is a form of writing Egyptians used to communicate with. Hieroglyphs has no spaces between the pictures and has no punctuation in them. Not many Egyptians could read Hieroglyphs so a person called a scribe was the one who could read and write out hieroglyphs. Hieroglyphs were important back in the Egyptians time because without Hieroglyphs it would be way harder to communicate then and maybe even in time right now! Hieroglyphs writing can be found on walls and inside of a tomb.

Math is used to build many things. Without math, you would have a house! Egyptians understood a little of algebra and were able to solve equations. They need math for when they trade. They used factions when trading. Egyptians used math every day, to manage their food supply, building structures, and compute the flood levels of the Nile.

That's how time was "invented" and they made the decision of leap year for the extra 6 hours we had to make a day. The oldest sun dial known was actually L- shaped and not a circle. The Greeks were actually credited for the sun dial.

I think Egyptian Hieroglyphics were the most interesting invention that the Egyptians made. I think it's super cool that all those people who lived back then understood a language that someone created. Scribes were a job that was looked at higher than a slave or a pottery person. Scribes were trained to write in Hieroglyphics. In modern days, we would call them a writer. So much wonderful, interesting stories or instructions were written down that we are still discovering now help us understand what life was like back then. This is why Hieroglyphics were so important.

I think the clock is one of the most important invention. They used a clock called the sundial they used it by the sun casting a shadow of what time of day it is (like shown in the picture). They also used a clock called the water clock. How it worked was kinda like an hourglass. They would use the water clock in courtrooms to see how long person would talk in the court room. The sun dial was created in 1500 B.C. The water clock was created in 1417-1379 B.C. Now the reason it's so important is we wouldn't know what time it is now we can get out of school at 2:25. At that's why it's the most important invention.

Hieroglyphics is a way to communicate and share ideas with other people in ancient Egypt. Hieroglyphics used pictures but it is not picture writing. Another fact about Hieroglyphics is there were over 700 symbols in their alphabet. The only people that could read the writing Hieroglyphics was called a SCRIBE. A few amount of Egyptians could read the language. A lot of other Egyptains wrote and spoke different language. Hieroglyphic writing is linked to elite tombs. It is IMPORTANT because the only way you could communicate back in ancient Egypt is using Hieroglyphics it is also important because it is one of the oldest languages to ever exist.

Ancient Egyptians studied the stars, planets, and the movements of the sun and moon. Their observations developed a calendar system to track time and organize their religious festivals and agricultural activities. The Egyptian calendar was a solar calendar divided into 12 months of 30 days each in the calendar to harmonize it with the solar year, with an additional five or six days at the end of the year. This calendar was remarkably accurate for its time and provided a basis for other civilizations’ calendars.

During around 2500 B.C. the fist police were introduced to patrol and regulate boats on the Nile. Around 1500 B.C. a paramilitary was formed known as the Medjay. Medjay protected property, people, and would make sure peasants paid their taxes on time. They would also patrol for market places to catch thieves. Police is the most important invention made by the ancient Egyptians because they regulate laws, catch thieves, and keep us safe today.

The Egyptians were inspired by the Assyrians to create their door locks. It's been estimated that the lock is around 4,000 years old. This means it was created around 2000 B.C. The Egyptian locks were similar to pin-tumbler locks. It also started 6 thousand years ago. They were made entirely of wood. The locks are important because they were used for guarding so intruders don't break in. They also used them to warm their animals and they used a lock so invaders don't get in.
