We do this at the beginning of the year, and then we administer it to each new student regardless of that student's start date. If there are any "cautions" or if the student fails to perform the tasks, then we re-administer the test 2 weeks after the initial date. Weekly, there are rubrics and pre/post assessments that go along with the lesson plans. These observations are tracked by a website called Galileo. They coincide with our parent teacher conferences, and allow us to discuss them right away with the parents. These assessments concentrate on the specific academic and literacy goals set for the preschool.  If the child is kindergarten age for the upcoming fall, there are 2 assessments preparing the child and family to see what the Kindergarten readiness goals should be.
