I think the theme is how migration and location affected the cultures of the people in the Paleolithic era. It also shows how the people were hunters and some became farmers using agriculture for their own advantage and survival. Agricultural Revolution became so popular, it was used around the world but people also hunted for food. Some people did not use agriculture or hunting because of the environment they lived in. Agricultural Revolution changed the evolution of humans to be more sophisticated.

I believe the thesis for the first chapter is how the early/first peoples once were and how they changed from hunter gatherers to agriculturists to becoming more advanced as a people and closer to a civilization and migration. In the first two paragraphs it explains how the first peoples were hunter gatherers and would also scavenge for food and hunt rather than attempt to create produce. Then in the third paragraph, it describes the change of hunter gatherers into agriculturists as they made produce and mainly grew their own food rather than hunting all the time. Lastly, the fourth paragraph explains more about the change of these early people and how they lived their lives, as well as the importance of their lives.

It forms most of human history even before the urban-based civilizations.
