         <description><![CDATA[<div>before the 1920's women had a certain way of living. The men were supposed to go out and work while the women stayed home and took care of the kids. Most women did not like this because they knew they could do more. So in the "roaring 20's" women obtained the right to vote. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>women seldom expected to go to college when they were in high school. If they did, it would be a private school for women, where no men would attend. However in 1921, North Carolina enrolled its first women student. This was a tremendous change for women and sparked an interest to further explore they're rights and interest.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before the 1920's women were expected to stay home and clean the house. Also while taking care of their kids. However after WWI, many men left for war leaving many jobs open and needing workers. This was when women started working jobs. They did not get paid as much as men but it was a new step to a brighter future.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A flapper was a women who wanted to explore her boundaries. She did not care of what people thought her and often wear revealing clothes (for that time). Women were expected to wear dresses down to their ankles. If they wore anything above the knee it would be inappropriate. These womens also wore their hair short and a lot of makeup on.</div>]]></description>
