The tide changed against Germany after the battle of Starlingrad and U.S troops landing in South Africa by 1942. Then WWII ended when America dropped atomic bombs on Japan and Hitler killed himself in 1945. Many attempts were made on Hitler's life, only one came close in 1944.

In 1923, Hitler and some SA members went into a large beer hall where a right wing leader was addressing the crowd. Hitler proclaimed a national revolution, he then got into a gunfight with the police after leading some marchers to Munich. Hitler tried to escape but him and some other followers were captured. This event established Hitler as a national figure and to some a hero of right win nationalism.

In 1930, the Third Reich was created. The Nazis called this the 1,000 year Reich. This was because Hitler boasted about it lasting for that long. In 1932 Hitler ran against Hidenburg for president. But the government was in chaos, and three chancellors failed to keep control. So in 1933 Hitler was named president by Hidenburg.

The Japanese attacked Pear Harbor in 1941 which extended this war to the whole world. So then Germany and Italy both declared War on the USA. But this was a big mistake by Japan and Hitler, he underestimated the USA and it's Naval power. The USA getting involved was one of the biggest reasons why the Axis lost.

In 1913, Adolf Hitler moved to Germany. There WWI broke out and so then Hitler registered as an infantry. He was deployed in 1913, and he won two decorations for bravery. He was also wounded twice during his time for service. He was hit in the leg and blinded by a British gas grenade.
