Political/Social Position Prior & Reasons Why: They had political autonomy in their tribes, and had a spiritual attachment to the land. Colonists attacked and killed natives, often with no reason. This is because the colonists saw them as inferior and wanted to expand the colonies' territory. Some Native Americans were taken to work as interpreters for the British colonies, for example, Joseph Brant.
Wartime Allegiances and Why: In the French and Indian War, some tribes allied with the French because of treatment by the British. Because the British had killed Native Americans and taken land from them in the past, they did not want to ally with the colonists during the revolution. Because the colonists treated the Native Americans so poorly, many tribes chose to ally themselves with the British against the colonies. Many tribes, like the ones led by Joseph Brant, fought against the British during the Revolutionary War, and later attempted to gain fair treatment. Other tribes believed that the revolution was not their fight and chose to remain neutral in the conflict.
Was there a change in social/political position? Why or why not: Native Americans did not gain any significant social or political power after the revolution. Some did achieve autonomy but mistreatment of Native Americans remained. While some tried to lobby for fair treatment of their people, like Joseph Brant, these attempts were unsuccessful and lots of tribes were driven out of their land. The colonists' opinions of the Native Americans were not widely impacted by the revolution.

Religious people had more power prior due to their ability to practice whatever religion they desired without being persecuted.

What were religious wartime allegiances? Religious people leaned heavily towards the revolutionaries, religious peoples were against the English because the English wanted to restrict their religious freedoms.

Change in their political/social freedoms: Religion gained social freedoms through the revolution because they no longer had British influence in their churches.

Political Freedoms/Social Position Prior & Reasons Why: Women had very little freedom and relied on their husbands or fathers, due to extremely deep rooted social norms that culturally and politically restricted a women's freedoms. They were expected to be the mothers and teachers of the youth but were also expected to do little more than that.

Wartime Allegiances and Why: Many women supported the revolutionaries during the war, and they were necessary for the revolution to even take off. If they did not participate in the boycotts, for example, the boycotts would not have had the desired economic impact. The ideals of the revolution, being freedom, autonomy, and liberty, appealed to many women as they mostly did not enjoy those things. Women were also necessary for those same ideals to survive the test of time as they became entrusted with the education of the youth.

Changes in Political Freedom/Social Position: As a result of the revolution, women did not immediately gain more freedoms, however they did gain more importance as it was their teaching of the youth that would ultimately allow the country to survive. Although they didn't get political freedom, their social position was improved. Women's crucial involvement in the revolution also allowed them an opportunity to make known their own frustrations with their lack of representation, such as in the case of Abigail Adams, wife of John Adams.

As the war went on, they got persecuted, and were often attacked.
Wartime Allegiances and Why:
During the war, their allegiance remained with Britain, because they still felt Britain should be in charge, and didn't want their to be any war. They also saw benefits in having Britain as a mother country, despite the oppressive policies of mercantilism.
Change in Political Freedoms/Social Position:
After the war, the loyalists who were still fully opposed to the Revolution were no longer allowed in the colonies, and had to find other colonies to live in, such as various ones in the Caribbean.
