This Graze Cocoa Vanilla cereal bar states that it contains 45% less sugar than an 'average' cereal bar, however, when comparing its sugar content per 100g against well-known brands such as Kind bars actually found to have the exact same sugar content of 17g per 100g. The wording of 'average' in terms of cereal bars may be confusing to some consumers as everyone's 'average' is different to one another

Podcasts can be an excellent source of media in learning new facts. Although, one main issue is that anyone can make a podcast and divulge information.
In the case of the 'Happy Pear Podcast,' neither brother have qualifications in nutritional science. Some of their guests are qualified professionals such as Dr Alan Desmond (Gastroenterologist & General Physician) and Dr Rangan Chatterjee (physician), however, others like Russel Brand have no background in nutrition or medical science. Their interest in food and its benefits is an encouraged trait, however, making claims without any prior study to said topic can be more damaging than benefits

The use of posters has always had a positive impact in relation to advertising i.e. if eye-catching enough consumers will want to read the information provided and possibly discover more about the product.
In relation to this poster, the design art for this whiskey, Dunning Kruger, gives a vintage aspect to it indicating the company may be specifically advertising to an older or mature audience.
The quote printed on the poster 'knows more than the doctors' gives an impression of cockiness which can be off-putting to some customers. The whiskey may begin to link with those who possess a higher education which could possibly be a marketing tactic to increase sales. Unforutanly a high alcohol intake is often linked with liver-related diseases, high blood pressure, negative change in behaviour, etc.

Placing products in the windows of shops is a strategic and skilful way of displaying new products/offers as it can result in customers being enticed to find out more information about the products and enter the store.
In this instance, 'Echinaforce' is the product on display with keywords such as 'relieve symptoms' and 'no.1 for colds and flu ' viewed very clearly. It's also an excellent time to advertise said product as coming into Winter there's a higher risk of catching a cold. By viewing these keywords customers, especially those susceptible to colds, may be more inclined to purchase said product which would result in a rise in sales.

Both authors are registered dietitians and have qualifications regarding nutritional science. The book itself is an excellent form of media, with its use of eye-catching and straightforward images and text, with the well known Regina George question printed on the cover and its honest purpose of differentiating common errors made in relation to nutrition. The book also uses a wide range of studies to back claims in it, all of which are referenced at the end of the book.

In recent years the strategy of using celebrities to endorse products has increased, with the most common products being weight loss related.
A company by the name of Teamiblends was able to advertise its detox product by getting Demi Lovato to endorse them. The post they uploaded claims that 'if your ready to be your best you' then you need this product and detox for at least 30 days. The aspect of relying on detox tea for weight loss can be a harmful mindset to have as many of these teas can contain laxatives, which some consumers may not be aware of. The wording of this advertisement could also manipulate customers to a certain degree, by associating a healthy lifestyle with these types of teas they may believe they're improving their diet by consuming these products.

Websites allow users to gain an insight into organizations, Governing bodies, news stories, etc. Nonetheless, like a podcast, anyone can make a website.
This particular article was published by PETA on their website '12 Reasons to Stop Drinking Cow's Milk'. One of their main headings is 'broken bones', how a cows milk 'actually robs our bones of calcium' and another paragraph states how those who consume milk are more likely to develop cancer(ovarian and prostate). Upon investigating the studies provided to verify these claims it was discovered that there was no mention or reference regarding a link between dairy consumption and cancer, some claims made don't even have a study linked to it to back up their claim.
These misleading claims can result in some readers believing advice given and becoming deficient in calcium, and instances such as this can give an organisation a bad name and discredit it

It also comments on how the products are 'gluten-free' which could attract the attention of celiacs and are also a high source of, 'calcium', 'fibre', and 'vitamin d', however, these claims are difficult to assess this claim as there is no data provided regarding the product's nutrient values which is a slight negative.

This particular Aldi offer is solely advertising their fruit and vegetables. This could be mainly aimed at households on a budget due to the obvious price reductions included (pervious and present price). Keywording such as 'super fresh' and '50% off' makes the items on offer that bit more applying. With regards to the mention of 'Super 6' this can be viewed as positive advertising. Aldi is promoting the consumption of the recommended minimum servings of 5 portions a day of fruit and vegetables at reasonable prices. Overall the advertising is a piece of positive and honest information, even informing the consumer how long the offer is available for.
