He established the use of ligatures to tie off or cut off arteries to stop bleeding. He improved the treatment of fractures and promoted the use of artificial limbs.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Rene Laennec was a french physician, known as "Father of Pulmonary Disease". In 1816, he invented the stethoscope, it began a piece of rolled paper then later turned into a wooden tube. He studied and diagnosed a bunch of medical conditions such as bronchitis, cirrhosis, melanoma, and tuberculosis. He later contracted tuberculosis by trying to treat it, he died at the age of 45.</div>]]></description>
