This superstition was originated because of Jesus Christ last dinner with his diciples. They were 13 in the table and one of them (Jesus) was crucified the next day!

If you break a mirror you will have 7 years of bad luck:
This was origin because in medieval times mirrors were very expensive ,represented luxury and its value was so high that the one who broke it could be sentenced to 7 years in prison

If you pass the salt hand and hand or if you spill it you will have bad luck
The same as the mirrors salt was an extremely expensive product in ancient times.Therefore people in that time were under enormous pressure of to not pass it from hand to hand. Also, this superstition comes from religious issues. In Da Vinci's work, "the last supper"it was Judas who spills the salt. For these reasons, spilling salt or passing it from hand to hand is considered bad luck.

There were a lot of theories ,the fist one is because color also does not help this animal to be well seen, since black means darkness, fear, night, , that is why different beliefs indicate that the cat was the reincarnation of the devil. The second one is because is that they have to do with witchcraft and it was believed that it was demons!
