I think that in today’s society, no matter women standing up for gender equality rights, in smaller countries, they are not practiced. Women should be given a say in the same aspect that men do. Gender equality is a human right and is overall better for the economy as it is also much healthier and safer

According to the united nations, gender inequality is number 5 out of the 17 sustainable development goals. Although the united nation focuses more towards gender inequality towards women it is still believed that men also go through gender inequality and sexism. In my opinion i think we should focus on gender inequality towards women but we should also not neglect it when it happens towards men. an example of said sexism is when a man goes through sexual assault. The man usually gets scared to speak up about his experience or admit to it happening because of gender stereotypes. Another example is arranged marriages. Most of the time both parties don’t have a say on whom they marry because their parents have arranged their marriage since young. I feel like gender inequality can be overcame with effort but it may take a while. The main reason behind this is because most people were taught, sometimes brainwashed since young about how each gender should act a certain way, do certain things. When in reality that isn’t the case. We can overcome gender inequality by educating everyone around us on the importance of overcoming sexism and gender inequality.

why does gender inequality still exist? we have been fighting this problem unanimously since the 1800’s (and probably long before that) and still to this day, it continues to exist. From the lack of employment equality to the distrustful faces when we hold a high position, women have been pushed back long enough not only from men but our women ancestors who say we shouldn’t do that or we shouldn’t do this simply because we are women. Young girls are seeing on the television that they are not being represented as strong and capable human being but as a submissive and inadequate gender stereotype. This fight for gender equality is far from over, but i have full belief that we can put an end to this horrific mess.

Gender inequality has existed way before most of us were even alive and it is still a major issue that has yet to be solved in today's times. We've all heard it. All over the news, especially on social media and we can be grateful that so many are stepping up whether to change or tell their stories in hopes of helping others. As a teenager myself, I experienced gender inequalities in the smallest ways that even I might not have realized it. But as days go by, I learn more and more about the hell that comes with being a woman. "Not to walk alone at night, don't tie your hair in a ponytail, lock your car doors right away". This had reached to the point where women have to be careful in helping strangers due to the fact that this could just be a hellish ploy and they might die from it. On a completely different note, jobs. Jobs like engineering show the biggest play of gender inequality. Not many are fond of women as engineers, and what exactly is the reason. Women studied as hard, women worked as hard not to be treated as some weakling that are just not fit for this job. Gender inequalities exist right beneath our noses, it could happen in the simplest of conversations, something that the person sitting beside you has said. This inferiority complex needs to end, because not only does it not make sense, but women has suffered truly enough from it. This is not something that will end in a day, it will probably not till the end, but we have to put up a fight. In any way that is possible. Everyone that is on the same page, to bring justice for both men and women that has suffered from gender inequality. Together.

Gender inequality? It still exists? Even in the year 2021? To answer that question, yes it does, sadly. It is a topic, a problem and a challenge that people from all around the world face. What is gender inequality? To make it easier to understand, it is when one gender is ‘better’ and is given more attention than the other. Gender inequality can be found in many different forms, from working hours, to sexual harassment , employment and earnings and even survival. For years now, women, are the ones who are the most unfortunate. They say women live longer, but in most countries, women receive less care and support than men. This is why, we as female’s, have been told to not to walk alone at night, or to even go out alone and be careful of our surroundings. Other than that, as time passes by, men have been given more opportunities , more freedom, and higher social regard than women who share the same social characteristics. Countries, like India, ensures that women are poorer, less educated and facing more unemployment and health risk than men. It is definitely devastating to be living in such a state where women are not being able to be treated equality just because of who and how special they are.

Around the world, women still have less access to education than men. ¼ of young women between 15-24 will not finish primary school. That group makes up 58% of the people not completing that basic education. Of all the illiterate people in the world, ⅔ are women. When girls are not educated on the same level as boys, it has a huge effect on their future and the kinds of opportunities they’ll get.

#2. Lack of employment equality

Only 6 countries in the world give women the same legal work rights as men. In fact, most economies give women only ¾ the rights of men. Studies show that if employment became a more even playing field, it has a positive domino effect on other areas prone to gender inequality.

#3. Job segregation

One of the causes for gender inequality within employment is the division of jobs. In most societies, there’s an inherent belief that men are simply better equipped to handle certain jobs. Most of the time, those are the jobs that pay the best. This discrimination results in lower income for women. Women also take on the primary responsibility for unpaid labor, so even as they participate in the paid workforce, they have extra work that never gets recognized financially.

women still have to face so many challenges in their daily life just because of their gender, we need to stop having a mindset where women are not worthy or are not strong enough , they can be equally strong as men too, as the saying goes dont judge a book by its cover.

Gender Inequality has been introduced since we were just born into the world . If the newborns are boys , they are expected to protect,take care of their family and women as well as be tough and in contrast of that if the newborns are girls , society will directly expect them to grow with all the house chores are done by them and girls can't do the men's job such as working , doing heavyworks , etc . In other words , our society thinks that girls are born to be weak and lay low under men's instruction and their stereotypes which are absolutely absurds. Im kind of glad but not fully grateful that in this 21st century , gender inequality between women , men as well the non binary has reduced but somehow in this chaotic world there's still some part of the community that thinks gender inequality is the life nature that we all need to adapt to but actually gender inequality comes from human itself . We can change that mindset and that behaviour by educating our ownself first regarding the inequality that we all struggles from.

Growing up in a malaysian society, gender inequality has practically been introduced the moment we were born. Boys were expected to not cry, act tough, not show emotion, and protect women. Whereas for girls, they were expected to help in the kitchen, be good at cooking and cleaning, be gentle and polite and have good manners. Basically the men were raised to work and support the family whereas the women were raised to be good wives.

Women are expected to cover themselves up to 'not attract attention'. Whenever a girl gets sexually harassed, society first impression would usually be "what what she wearing" or "she must have been wearing something scandalous". Now how is it that it is a woman's fault if she dresses how she likes? is it wrong for her to express herself through style? Whenever a girl is harrased its always her fault for not covering up properly. But in my opinion, men should learn to lower their gazes and learn to respect women instead. Apart from "protecting your daughthers and sisters" , society should "educate their sons" as well.

Whereas for men, society seems to expect them to be tough all time. So some times when a guy expresses emotions or for example cry publicly, society immediately labels them as wimps or weaklings. And the same applies for when they act super polite sometimes too. Or how is it that when a guys holds open a door for a girl or when a man asks for consent he is immediately labled as a simp? There's a difference between simping and common decency that society seem to overlook and neglect.

Although we see the wold changing and improving slowly, there are still alot of issues to be discussed, therefore i really hope to spread awareness so society could change for the better <3

Woman often get put in the kitchen because people think they belong there instead of having real jobs. We often dont get chances in higher position for exanple as directors of any company because people think we are not srtong and educated enough for that role. Lack of opportunities could include not being given equal workload or sometimes given more workload, due to the personal opinions of the higher ups in a work environment.

3. Negative Emotional Impact
- Gender inequality includes treating different genders with its own different ways. As an example, a vast majority of little boys are taught to be masculine and to not let emotions affect them when feelings and emotions come naturally to a normal human being. This causes long term problems like toxic masculinity and the inability to express their feelings properly. Another example is teaching little girls to be nurturing and compliant. While those traits are generally positive ones, it could lead to some negative outcomes. Those same little girls may grow up to be naive and vulnerable, as all their lives they've been trained to accept things as is due to the nature of their biological gender.

Since young men are built to be strong so they think they have a huge advantage towards women which is the bad part. Women also have become victims more prone to domestic abuse. Moving on, women from certain parts of the world are most likely to not receive the same education as men do. The only difference is, those who design it plaster their name on the walls of poster while the men who built it with sweat and tears get no words or thanks except for a pay check.hence, men are the men ones who always design and say what to do; while unfortunately women, we stand there waiting for instructions and understand the words he says to make HIS DREAM come true.

Now, in our society, women are the gender that is often looked down upon or disregarded simply because of their gender. It is appalling that this term ; gender inequality is still very much relevant in these modern times. One would think that gender roles would be abolished, and that everyone would take part in their fair share of responsibilities. Sadly, many people hold gender roles above the heads of women, expecting them to cook and clean just as a housewife would in the 1950s, expecting them to heed to everything a man says. That it would be shameful if they don't get married, or if they don't bear children. You may ask, what are the gender roles for men in our current society? Well, if you ask incel boys, they would say that "men are expected to work and pay for everything." This is, not the case anymore in our society, maybe in some parts of the world, and in the olden days, but now, both men and women work, so that statement doesn't have a heavy basis to it. Women, are the victims of gender inequality in many many cases, and it's truly upsetting how some men don't want to accept that. We have to set a good example for the younger generations, so that they, will not grow up to be misogynistic.
