·         Number of questions increased from 30 to 39.

·         Number of sections also increased from 3 to 5.

·         Internal choices have increased.

·         2 marker questions introduced this year.

·         Earlier ,2 Case based questions were part of section A ,but now they are incorporated in separate section E. Moreover, they are  now 3 in number. 

·         Case based questions have 2marker questions also.

·         Quality of questions have improved.

·         More emphasis on diagram based, graph based questions and data interpretation. Direct questions are very less in number.

 
XII -Physics, Chemistry & Biology

·         Total number of questions reduced from 37 to 35. Whereas in Bio they have increased from 27 to33

·         Case based questions, which were earlier part of Section A (VSA) have now been added in a new section.

·         Total break up now coming as 18 + 8 = 26 (competency based 37%) & 14 + 15 + 15 = 44 (subjective 62.8%). This is not corresponding to 30% +20% + 50% as given by board earlier.

·         Difficulty level of questions have increased. Questions which used to be a part as HOTS are now very common in question paper.

·         More emphasis on diagram based, graph based, databased questions. Direct questions are very less in number.

·         MCQs are increased (20 to 26) in number, that means possibility of passing has increased, but scoring 100% is decreased.

·         One case-based question is related to the chapter, but terms and concept used in the question is not there.
