The FBI changed crime solving forever. Founded in 1908, The FBI made it easier to get crime solved. The invention of Ident made it possible to use and capture finger prints which was a vital tool for these times. It made it possible to not switch up a person if they had the same name for example the William west and will west issue. Since they had the fingerprints it was easier to figure out who did what. The bureau is what helped capture and arrest Capone once and for all.

The 18th Amendment was pushed with the ideology that America would stay clean. However, prohibition left a mark on society that remains today. Banning alcohol created a black market that allowed crooks such as Capone and Siegel to not only rake in millions, but to make gangs so powerful that their influence remains today.

Women were activists of prohibition because they received the worst of alcohol. They found alcohol terrible because their husbands would often get so drunk that they’d beat them. The movement gave them hope that home life would be a lot safer than before. This is a lot of the reason the 18th Amendment was pushed for.
