I have chose this picture because it shows a field of vegetables with blooms and a happy child. Plants are a staple in our lives because they not only feed us but, they provide happiness, and food for other creatures. The blooms on plants allow bees to pollinate them, allowing them to make food for themselves and honey. Once the plant matures it gives us food to have the energy we need to continue growing them. As seen by this child, plants make people happy. I myself have over 50 succulents and house plants and they make me very happy.

I have chose this picture because it shows the Sugar Maple tree. The Sugar Maple is native to the North Georgia mountains. The taxonomic name for the sugar maple is Acer saccharum.

I found this short video on photosynthesis on youtube. I am a visual learner and I really liked the animations that the creator used. This video is short but explains all the needed information you need to know about photosynthesis in a cute way that's easy to understand

This photo depicts the Tropical Rain-forest biome. I believe that it is in the most danger of ecological change because of corporate greed and money. The biome is at risk because of the following: Ranching & Agriculture, Commercial fishing, bio-piracy and smuggling, poaching, and logging. This biome is most at risk because of human intervention. The Tropical Rain-forest biome is being destroyed mainly by forces we can control but choose not to. Save our rain-forests! It only covers roughly 6% of the planet but, it accounts for nearly half the oxygen produced on Earth!!!

I chose this picture because it shows the population growth rate before, during, and after first Agricultural Revolution. As you can see from the graph the population size stayed about the same until the year 10,000 BC. After the revolution the human population skyrocketed. The population more than doubled in the span of less than 2,500 years. The introduction of plant domestication drastically affected human population and we wouldn't be here today learning at plants if the revolution never took place.

I chose this picture because it shows children in India happily playing in a field of green crops. Before the Green Revolution occurred India was a gran deficient nation and had to import most of its grains. The Green Revolution gave countries with environmental challenges the ability to grow crops they couldn't before. The Green Revolution gave many countries access to food security they did not have before.

I believe that Caffeine is one of the most influential chemical used in the world that is derived from a plant. There are many different plants that caffeine can come from including: cocoa beans, kola nuts, tea leaves, yerba mate, guarana berries, guayusa, and the yaupon holly. Caffeine is added to many soft drinks but, it is also a component of a number of pharmacological preparations and over-the-counter medicines including analgesics, diet-aids, and cold/flu remedies.

I chose this picture because a world without agriculture would be a vast wasteland. I believe the poor people's land would look like this and that they would have nothing. The wealthy will have their own private farm lands so they will be able to eat. I believe without agriculture our life span will greatly decrease.
