Answer 3:

The tsunami had waves up to 100 feet high

The waves of the tsunami were the speed

Several waves hit at extremely tall points only 15-20 minutes after third biggest earthquake

The tsunami was caused because of this earthquake that was measured 9.1-9.3

The Indian tectonic plate is subducting to the Burmese plate causing the ocean floor to break. There was a vertical displacement of 15-20 meters along the fault. This left a very large amount of water to be displaced. Therefore the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004 occurred

This displacement of water and the ocean floor collapsing happened because the earthquake that took place 15-20 minutes before was measured over a 9.0 magnitude

The epicenter/focus was 160km off the western coast of Northern Sumatra in the Northern Hemisphere

By: Jaslene
