"If I judged wrongly, my life wasn't the only one that would be lost." For roughly 3-4 pages she debates killing the wolf-or faerie-she sees. It is very obviously not a real wolf and a faerie but provides such a predictable storyline as you KNOW the wolf is a faerie, and she will face consequences. Not a solid surprise factor and truly boring.

And some brushes." -146

Feyre is gaining a bit more comfortable, and becoming less of a traumatised parentless main character who faces "main character syndrome". It is nice to see her branch out, and become slightly more comfortable and devoted to her settings rather than jaded. She is branching out, as well as the plot. Especially her relations with Tamlin and Lucien.

The beginning half of this book was incredibly boring however and lacked strong or important information.

With Tamlin, Lucien, and Feyre's lives on the line this kept the readers engaged, which was needed for such a lengthy and drawn out book with many slow portions.

"The answer to the riddle...is...love."

Rather than a twist, I would consider this a lack of a twist. After Feyre completes all three of her tasks, the riddle to save Tamlin and all those following him's answer turned out to be love. Perhaps, this is jaded from it being so cliche but the twist that it was love was expected and unimportant, creating a downplay to this large captivating moment.

"Don't bother. I don't think I'd be particularly fond of faeries."

The character with the most and most successful character development and diversity was Nesta, the sister whom caused the most issues. It was a shock and not only development but twist when she found out about the faeries, but as well her support for Feyre all along. She was truly there to support her at any moment and did not have a change of heart, but was already there for her.
