We knew we wanted our Padlet to be aesthetically pleasing and well organized so that the information could be easier to understand. We knew that there were many connections between our books and subparts of our thesis, so we made sure to include arrows showing which parts we felt most strongly connected. We also wanted to tie in a more visual aspect to intrigue the viewer and to deepen understanding. One of the things we used to ensure connections and understanding was the placement of each note. We had the thesis at the very top then because we read from left to right we put our first and most general point on the left, then make each point more specific as you read to the right. This sets up the reader's understanding before getting too detailed too quickly. Another advantage to using a padlet was that we have access to color coding. We have three sets of evidence. One for discrimination, Intersectionality and one for lack of government protection and safety. In our padlet each section was a different color, to divert attention visually. The discrimination evidence was yellow, the Intersectionality evidence was pink and the lack of government evidence was green. We decided to use the color coding method because the feedback we received was very directed towards organization and visual appeal. Overall we liked using Padlet because it gave us an outlet to express the information we needed to, while making it visually appealing and overall benefiting the presentation.
