While they read, they will take the stuffed dog assigned to their book and act out what they are reading. Both children had some background knowledge about dogs and were interested in talking about dogs more. It is a common subject that is of interest to children in first grade because many children have or have seen dogs. There is also real life access where children can interact with dogs either on a field trip or on a visit.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
