It first started in the Netherlands, but then English and French farmers adopted the new method. <br><br><strong>Open Field System</strong><br>Land-owners could allow small farmers to plant crops in small parts of the owner's land<br><strong>Specializing<br></strong>The open-field system could no longer produce enough to meet the world's  demands, so land-owners decided to enclose, or fence, and the fields were used for crops that would generate larger profits.</div>]]></description>
