Students will have the exposure to forensic science reports, attend the Palm Beach county jail, appear in session where litigators are presenting their cases to the judge, discuss bail agreements and witness debates in court. Graduates from program have become chief of police such as Saima Plasencia for Ocoee County, Chad Norman Jupiter Police, who was assigned to the K-9 unit as a dual handler working a BloodHound (Search and Rescue) and a German Shepherd (Explosives detection/Patrol). Other police departments who have hired our graduates include to name just a few Boca Raton/ UF/ Delray Beach, Northeastern University.

 From a social impact perspective, race and ethnicity has become a major focus in this major which has turned into a new course offered at Lynn where the criminal justice system is at cross roads with a downtrodden society and most of the time it is the same socioeconomic group where these issues of greatest crime and victimization are discussed.

It can also include courses such as forensic investigation class from Criminal Justice which overlaps but is a completely different curriculum. Program has an integrated science emphasis. Permits students to earn experience with the geographic information systems mapping (GIS) software to add to their tool belt as early as the first semester. It is an expensive software that is a major skill needed for graduates entering the field. Most programs include 2 days of experiential learning, yet in our curriculum we include over 2 days per class where students are outdoors. Preparing students for the graduates employers are seeking in the workforce: (Florida Env science, consulting gigs etc.)

Offers concentration in biology. Dr. Erika Doctor and Dr. Andrea Goldstein have taught in areas such as studying the wellbeing of a criminal serial killer.

Flight training can be used as electives if pursuing an undergraduate degree. 

There are 5 majors total students can pursue: aviation security, professional pilot, aviation management, aviation operations and air traffic control.

Keep students with the same instructor in the program. Each instructor will have 5-7 students.

Has the highest restricted rating. Almost every country will recognize FAA ATP - Gold Standard. 

Our program allows students to be eligible to earn 1000 hours certificate after graduation for the 1500 certificate program.

 Lynn students can earn their flight license from 50-55 hours of flying. The national average is 70-75 hours.
