I chose this picture to represent my understanding of plants role in society and the environment due to the deep meaning it had behind it. This picture shows the first tree growing only at the top, this tree will eventually die because it doesn't have roots to grow and nourish from. The second is growing from the roots up and has room to bloom. I believe this shows the importance of plants in society because without a firm understanding of the benefits that plants to the earth we cannot grow, but if we take what plants show us by providing and making the environment bountiful then we too as a society can grow by learning.
