Twenty percent of the earth is covered by desert biomes.  There are four major types of desert in this biome:  hot and dry, semiarid, coastal and cold. and antarctic.The tundra is a very fragile biome.  As permafrost melts, the tundra shrinks. Animals that live on the tundra either migrate to warmer areas or hibernate in the harsh winters.
