For educational leaders, it has become a resource that has its value with proper implementation. Educational leaders have to ensure that this tool is being used within the classroom setting in an appropriate way to enhance student learning not replace. I have always had this idea that exposing children to technology causes much more harm than good. The dangers of social media and endless access to the World Wide Web has contributed to the belief that children are safer away from technology.

The five benefits were listed as "creates more engaging environments," incorporates different learning styles," "improves collaboration," "prepares children for the future," and "connects you with your student. Of all the points made- most very compelling, I admit- the most impactful was "prepares children for the future."

As an associate clinical social worker and going into my eighth year in mental health, safety is a top priority. But how safe it is to keep a child impaired and delayed in becomes technologically versed in a world that becomes more technological every day?

Exposure and skill-building are the pillars to resiliency and success. Therefore, it is undeniable that technology must be incorporated into classrooms to ensure that every student is prepared to face the challenges, tasks, and ever-evolving technology they will encounter as adults.
