         <description><![CDATA[<div>The National Assembly took place from June 14th to July 9th in 1789. This played a major role in the French Revolution. The National Assembly represented the Third Estate, which was the common people.          <title>Tennis Court Oath </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Tennis Court Oath happened on June 20th, 1789. The third estate delegates found themselves locked out of the their meeting room. they broke down a door to an indoor tennis court, pledging to stay until they had drawn up a new constitution.          <title>Fall of Bastille</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Fall of Bastille happened on July 14th, 1789. The third estate saw the kings soldiers and were quick to believe that they were going to harm everyone. The third estate then decided to go to the jail of Bastille and take all the ammunition they had laying around. the Bastille fell into the control of the citizens. The paper tells a list of rights, such as freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and separation of powers.          <description><![CDATA[<div>In June of 1791, Louis and his family tried to escape from France to the Austrian Netherlands. As they neared the French border a postmaster recognized the king from his portrait on some paper money. the Royal Family was returned to Paris under guards control.          <title>Constitution of 1791</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The constitution of 1791 limited the power of the monarch. The powers separated into the legislative, executive, and the judicial branch. The legislative branch had the power to declare war and raise taxes.          <title>War with Austria and Prussia 1792</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>French Radicals hoped to spread their revolution to all the peoples of Europe. When Austria and Prussia proposed that France put Louis back on the throne, the legislative assembly responded by declaring war on Austria in April of 1792. Prussia later joined Austria in war against the French.          <title>Execution of King Louis XVI</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Took place on January 21st, 1795 at the place de la Revolution, in Paris. The national convention had convicted the king in a near-unanimous vote and condemned him to death by a simple majority.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The Fall of Robespierre began on March 30, 1794 when he sent his fellow citizens and friends Danton and Desmoulins to the guillotine.After this event, members of the Convention and the Committee eyed Robespierre with suspicion. The Convention saw Robespierre as a tyrant. A faction of the Convention banded together to destroy Robespierre before he destroyed the remaining members of the French government.
