The characters do not have the same problem as any other book that I have read and the characters are not the same as in another book that I have read.

The dog in Dog Man is a half man. Half dog mixed that was created after the surgery making the two become one thing. Both people can be consider a hero by the other people who surrounds them. Crupp takes care of the students in his school by fighting the strange things that they make and make his people safe. The same for Dog Man who is a part time cop while also being a dad. So it may seem like the two stories couldn't be more different just by their name the characters. what they do makes it feels like it's the same place happening in towns.
