Lovely to hear from students that they enjoy STEM, especially in the yard when they strike a conversation. Also love that students try their hardest to succeed, for example when grade 3 students did so well using copper tape on their paper circuits.

The Year 4 team have worked amazingly together. We have played off each other’s strengths and got to know the kids so closely through the looping system that we have really learned how to cater towards them academically and emotionally— this is all reflected in their growth and the way they present themselves across all school activities. Special thanks to Brooke for being an awesome team leader who has given Ivan and I the space and confidence to grow and share our voice!

I feel very lucky to be able to teach every student in our school. I’m proud of how much the students have grown in PE. It’s been very rewarding to be able to host Interschool Sport at home and witnessing how proud students are when wearing their sport shirts and the pride shown by our Year 6 PE Leaders taking responsibility by welcoming visitors to our school.

So proud of my choir kids for taking on the challenge of our difficult performance this term! It’s a great feeling to be able to share my love of singing and performing with the students. They really impressed me with how they were able to take on feedback and improve their skills with practise 🎶

I’m so proud to have found and become a part of this school community this term. I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know everyone and really appreciate the way people have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and supported. It hasn’t just been the 1/2 team-it’s been the whole school community, from the students all the way through to leadership.

The Speech team were able to attend Speech Pathology Australia’s 2025 conference in Adelaide (thank you Paul!) and represent our school amongst a wide range of speechies working in various settings. They were very interested to hear about how AHAs and SPs work in a mainstream school setting. Next goal … a presentation at that level perhaps?

It has been a big transition moving to straight grades, new curriculum and experiencing leading a team for the first time. I feel so lucky to lead a team who supports one another and genuinely cares about all of the students in the cohort. I’m proud of the way we collaborate and allow each to try new things, make mistakes and grow!

The Speech Team are super proud of the idea and creation of a one stop sound-production shop. A platform where online videos of the correct mouth shapes, for every single Australian phoneme, is available to both teachers and students. Thanks Steph, you did such a fabulous job! Also grateful to be supported to attend the SPA conference where our knowledge and peer collaboration was extended. Great to feel the professional boost this provided to both the team and of course, ultimately to our students.

Building Connections & Streamlining Change 😊

What I’m most proud of are the strong connections myself and Tina have built with our families and students, and the fun, friendly banter in the office that gets us through even the busiest days. I’m also really proud of helping shift our school from manual to digital systems and supporting our diverse families in making the move to Compass. These changes have made things run more smoothly and helped lighten the workload for our teachers and leadership team.

I am very proud and blessed to be part of a great grade 4 team of both teachers and students. Teachers are amazing and really prioritize our children’s learning and due to this and great teamwork we have made some fantastic achievements and progress with our students!

Seeing in real time how far the preps have come in their learning and social skills is amazing. Despite having days that feel tricky and repetitive for staff, repetition works!! Hard work pays off for the students and staff.
