Cook didn’t navigate alone he had a Polynesian
man named Tupaia alongside him. “Pakeha Thief” cook is being called this because the first encounter he had with maori’s wasn’t very pleasant , we have indefinite stories about Captain James Cook that’s what makes things so complicated.

After the visit of Captain James Cook, whales in New Zealand became endangered. It took only 50 years for the population of our whales to shrink down drastically and make them an endangered species. This is mostly because of Captain Cook who, after sailing back to England, told stories of a land with a bay of many-or plenty full of-whales which meant many ships, the first being from America in 1791, came a long way to hunt for these majestic creatures and their precious blubber, oil, and ambergris. Cook pretty much ruined the whole country’s population of whales.
